Over 25 years ago, Mhari moved to Malvern.  Inspired by its stunning landscape of hills, woodlands and open skies, she took up painting, studying at Malvern Hills College, and used lockdown to take the opportunity to refine her style, capturing on canvas scenes from her walks and bike rides.  Her work celebrates nature, with her latest project focusing on volunteers in Colwall’s Community Orchard Project.  Although Mhari mainly paints in acrylics, she has recently begun to explore using oil paints.
